Style Fashion Week kicked off another round of runway shows, art exhibits, and performances at the picturesque Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.

Style Fashion Week kicked off with a Courtney Allegra Swimwear S/S 2017 preview and OBVIOUS Magazine March/April release party at the Courtney Allegra Boutique on Melrose.

“Have fun and be cheeky in a Courtney Allegra bikini,” is the young designer’s motto and the SS17 collection was a true reflection of that statement.

Style Fashion Week FW16

Style Fashion Week has come a long way since its first showcase at Vibiana in Downtown Los Angeles. The FW16 Showcase was held at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.

The event began with a cocktail reception under the stars where guests socialized with industry insiders and celebrities.

Hollywood Doll And More At Style Fashion Week

I was back at Vibiana to catch more shows put together by Style Fashion Week. I was sad to see that the Moët bar was gone, but happy to see that DJ BoomBoxBri was spinning cool tunes. With each show comes a different vibe and a different crowd and with childrenswear being the focus of the opening shows there were lots of little tykes running around.

Heck, even Willy Wonka was there.

Style Fashion Week FW13

Style Fashion Week has made its permanent home at the charming Vibiana Cathedral. The courtyard was transformed into an upscale VIP lounge in honor of the week-long event.  The Croker Club provided an elaborate bar set up. Drinks were courtesy of Diablo Soda, Naked Juice, Peroni, and Moët Chandon. Manna Kadar cosmetics offered complimentary make-overs, and Runway TV was on site to interview guests.

As expected, everyone was dressed to impress.

For the SS2013 presentations the folks at Style Fashion Week decided to change things up a bit by hosting fashion shows during the day in addition to their night time presentations.

The preshow party at Style Fashion Week on day three was not quite as grand as day one. There were no appetizers from El Cholo and no live band to rock the house. However, VnC Cocktails were still hosting the bar, a DJ was spinning some cool tunes, Le Posh Salon treated guests to manicures, and Brunch Butler provided a chocolate fondue station.

L’Une at Style Fashion Week

On Wednesday I was back at Vibiana to see L’Une’s presentation of the Breakable Collection, which was inspired by designer AnhVolcek’s upcoming surgery. Through these creations she explored the unveiling and the opening of the body through draping and sea urchin like embellishments were incorporated to represent protection.

Gen Art’s Fresh Faces in Fashion Closes Out Style Fashion Week

Tonight we celebrated Gen Art’s return to L.A. After an 18-month hiatus the company has been reborn as a subsidiary of publishing company Sandow Media. Fresh Faces in Fashion celebrates up and coming designers in L.A. and NY. The SS2012 event featured eleven designers - four of which presented installations during the cocktail reception, which was hosted by Kettle One and Q Qream Liquor. There were simplistic leather handbags by ImanToloui, statement shoes from Plomo, edgy architectural jewelry by TomTom, and unique accessories made from fossils, exotic wood, and prehistoric ivory by Sticks and Stones.

Stop Staring! @ Style Fashion Week

On Tuesday I was back at Vibiana for Day 2 of Style Fashion Week. I noticed that tonight there were a few new vendors. The Body Shop was onsite handing out samples of their products and Couture Cupcakes presented a variety of their tasty treats, which included gourmet cupcakes, cake pops, whoopee pies, and marshmallows on a stick.



Before the show we enjoyed a musical performance by a 1940’s inspired girl group called the Fondettes.

Style Fashion Week SS 2012

Style Fashion Week returned for its second season to present a number of exciting new trends and designs to the LA based fashion community. The 6 day event kicked off with a VIP/Media party at Salvage Bar. It’s a cool little place and great for a party. While there, I met an aspiring singer by the name of Siara. We had fun hanging out and checking out the vendor booths.

Style Fashion Week Returns for its Second Season

After a successful debut this past spring Style Fashion Week is back for its second season. The event is shaping up nicely and promises to be bigger than last. The festivities kick off on Sunday October 16^th with a VIP Media Reception. T he rest of the week will be filled with fashion shows and exclusive after parties.

Style Fashion Week - March 15th - 18th

L.A. Fashion Week is just around the corner and the shows are just starting to take shape. Style Fashion Week plans on hosting a four day event (March 15th – 18th) that celebrates the fusion of fashion. The event, which will be held at the newly renovated Vibiana in Downtown L.A., will showcase this season’s emerging, progressive, and established men’s and women’s designers and will also feature celebrity hosts, art installations, live music, gift bags in conjunction with the runway shows, and VIP lounge areas.

Style Fashion Week is also proud to host The Go Red For Women Celebrity Fashion Show—which is being held for the first time in L.A.—in support of the American Heart Association.
