LA Fashion Weekend 1st Annual Fashion Awards

Due to the numerous competing fashion week events The Gallery LA founder Mikey Koffman decided to change things up for the LA Fashion Weekend Fall/Winter presentations. Instead of three days of runway shows Mikey opted for one fashion showcase and the launch of the first ever LA Fashion Awards show. If you think about it, Los Angeles is home to the Grammys and the Oscars, so why not a Fashion Awards show? Mikey helped start the original LA Fashion Week over 10 years ago, so it makes sense that she would be the one to make a Fashion Awards ceremony happen.

LAFW SS2013 Wrap Party

The delightful Mikey Koffman and her wonderful crew at The Gallery LA were kind enough to host a wrap party as a “Thank you” to all the sponsors, designers, and fashionable guests who attended LA Fashion Weekend’s SS2013 showcase.

The event was held in the patio area at the Xen Lounge in Studio City. Between the tarp and the killer tunes you wouldn’t have known it was raining outside. The lovely make-up artists from Napoleon Perdis were on site to apply touch-ups for anyone that wanted to enhance their look for the evening. I was happy to see that one of the gals was also a part of the Beats For Boobs make-up team. We discussed how a make-up artist is an artist. Your face is their canvas, and they can transform you into something beautiful or hideous - in the case of special effects make-up, which my sister, Rose Lopez, specializes in.

Fourth Annual Fashion’s Night Out

It’s been four years and Fashion’s Night Out is still going strong with retailers all over the world participating in the annual event. However, Rodeo Drive didn’t go all out this time. A few stores partook (Guess being one) and the food trucks moved on over to Melrose. However, Neiman Marcus (Beverly Hills) was hopping.

Fashion Splash 2012

The Gallery LA and Wella Professionals hosted a fashion show/pool party at The Standard Hotel in West Hollywood. Upon arrival guests were greeted with complimentary drinks courtesy of Little Black Dress Vodka and received a littler pampering from Wella and Napoleon Perdis.  

LA Fashion Weekend Wrap Party

A few nights ago I attended LA Fashion Weekend’s Wrap Party held at Rubix Hollywood. Yes, I know it’s been a few months since the FW12 shows but Mikey Koffman is a busy gal and she and her crew at The Gallery LA have a lot going on. And, to be honest, it’s never too late to show your appreciation.

LA Fashion Weekend: Fall Winter 2012

My favorite part of LA Fashion Week is LA Fashion Weekend. Mikey Koffman has been producing fashion shows for years and everything she does is always on a grand scale. Held at Sunset Gower Studios, L.A. Fashion Weekend serves as a major launching pad for local, national, and international designers and also presents a unique branding opportunity for the most elite products and services.

Style Fashion Week SS 2012

Style Fashion Week returned for its second season to present a number of exciting new trends and designs to the LA based fashion community. The 6 day event kicked off with a VIP/Media party at Salvage Bar. It’s a cool little place and great for a party. While there, I met an aspiring singer by the name of Siara. We had fun hanging out and checking out the vendor booths.
