LA Fashion Weekend 1st Annual Fashion Awards

Due to the numerous competing fashion week events The Gallery LA founder Mikey Koffman decided to change things up for the LA Fashion Weekend Fall/Winter presentations. Instead of three days of runway shows Mikey opted for one fashion showcase and the launch of the first ever LA Fashion Awards show. If you think about it, Los Angeles is home to the Grammys and the Oscars, so why not a Fashion Awards show? Mikey helped start the original LA Fashion Week over 10 years ago, so it makes sense that she would be the one to make a Fashion Awards ceremony happen.

LA Fashion Weekend: Women’s Contemporary and Couture Show

Even though I’m always exhausted by the end of Fashion Week I look forward to the final night because I know the party will be going on at Sunset Gower, and Mikey Koffman always saves the best for last. Thankfully, the rain had stopped so we could all enjoy the outdoor lounge area, which was packed.

Fourth Annual Fashion’s Night Out

It’s been four years and Fashion’s Night Out is still going strong with retailers all over the world participating in the annual event. However, Rodeo Drive didn’t go all out this time. A few stores partook (Guess being one) and the food trucks moved on over to Melrose. However, Neiman Marcus (Beverly Hills) was hopping.

My favorite part of LA Fashion Week is LA Fashion Weekend. Mikey Koffman has been producing fashion shows for years and everything she does is always on a grand scale. Held at Sunset Gower Studios, L.A. Fashion Weekend serves as a major launching pad for local, national, and international designers and also presents a unique branding opportunity for the most elite products and services.

LA Style T.V. Hosts Live Fashion Show / Charity Benefit

On Saturday August 27^th LA Style Television will host a Live Fashion Show/Charity Benefit at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel inCentury City. The event, which will be filmed and will air on ION Television Ch. 32 and KSCI Channel 18, is being held to raise awareness for H.E.L.P. (Help, Educate, Love & Protect Children of Malawi). Celebrity spokesperson Katie Cassidy (Gossip Girl/Melrose Place) will be showcasing her jewelry line, What Love Means, which was designed exclusively for H.E.L.P. (100% of the jewelry and apparel sale proceeds go to the foundation). LA Fashion Weekend: Fall 2011 – Saturday, March 19th

On Saturday we were back at Sunset Gower for day two of LA Fashion Weekend. We were grateful the rain hadn’t hit yet and hoped it would wait until we were home. Upon arrival we saw the new additions to Septerhed’s canvas, which included phrases such as “The Perfect Shoes” and “The Perfect Dress” written along the border.
