Style Fashion Week kicked off with a Courtney Allegra Swimwear S/S 2017 preview and OBVIOUS Magazine March/April release party at the Courtney Allegra Boutique on Melrose.

“Have fun and be cheeky in a Courtney Allegra bikini,” is the young designer’s motto and the SS17 collection was a true reflection of that statement.

19 year old designer/model Courtney Allegra celebrated the grand opening of her first retail store at 7224 Melrose Ave (Los Angeles) on August 25th. Fresh off the success of her Miami Swim Show the San Diego native hosted an evening filled with fashion, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and fun.

Models showcased Allegra’s latest 2017 Resort Collection, which was inspired by the Amazon Rainforest and featured earth tones and microsuede. She also introduced a new bikini top silhouette called the “UB,” which is a high-neck halter top that reveals the “undercleavage.” Having designed since the age of 15, Allegra admits that she has a penchant for “skimpy bikinis” and “cheeky prints.” –NIN

The Art Hearts Fashion two day presentations were held at the elegant Taglyan Complex and featured collections from an array of artistically inspired designers. The event supported a great cause—AIDS Healthcare Foundation—and attendees were urged to text in donations by texting “FIGHTAIDS” to 41444.
