Style Fashion Week kicked off with a Courtney Allegra Swimwear S/S 2017 preview and OBVIOUS Magazine March/April release party at the Courtney Allegra Boutique on Melrose.

“Have fun and be cheeky in a Courtney Allegra bikini,” is the young designer’s motto and the SS17 collection was a true reflection of that statement.

A number of stylish individuals and celebrities attended the social networking event, which was sponsored by Alma de Agave Tequila, Lemba Rum, and HINT Water.

I had the pleasure of chatting with Obvious Magazine’s editor in chief Jerris Madison. Obvious is a fashion, lifestyle, and cultural magazine that empowers and motivates by focusing on up and coming artists and designers.

I also met Gizzle – a Los Angeles born artist and songwriter who has lent her talents to a number of top notch artists and producers. Gizzle recently dropped a mix tape called 7 Days in Atlanta (the first in a series). Each installment will be recorded in7 different cities in 7 days with L.A. being the final stop.
