Fourth Annual Fashion’s Night Out

It’s been four years and Fashion’s Night Out is still going strong with retailers all over the world participating in the annual event. However, Rodeo Drive didn’t go all out this time. A few stores partook (Guess being one) and the food trucks moved on over to Melrose. However, Neiman Marcus (Beverly Hills) was hopping.

Inside the department store shoppers were treated to cream puffs, cupcakes, and make-overs. DJ’s on every floor spun killer tunes and Oxley Gin provided some delicious basil cucumber martinis.

Up on the second level two lovely gals demonstrated the latest addition to Cosabella’s collection. A simple one piece that can be worn in a variety of ways – as a long dress, a short dress, a shirt, with a cowl neck, with a hoodie….

Next stop was Sak’s Fifth Avenue where champagne and cupcakes were on the menu. IceShavie was also on site serving up their refreshing alcoholic (and non-alcoholic) shaved ice.

The store was packed. A majority of fashionistas were checking out the latest styles from Jerome C Rousseau

The Beverly Center appears to be the central hub for FNO. However, the place to be on this warm September night was Beverly Hills Porsche. Mikey Koffman (The Gallery LA) and Wella Professionals hosted a FNO bash of their own complete with a fashion show presenting looks by Dina Bar-El and Anthony Franco. The venue was packed and partygoers enjoyed drinks provided by Little Black Dress Vodka, Diabolo, and Lovoka, which makes delicious caramel liquor. Hors d’oeuvres were courtesy of Nobu Matsuhisa.

The invitation stated: Cocktail Attire Required and encouraged all to wear a Little Black Dress in honor of sponsor LBD Vodka. A majority of attendees obliged and everyone looked fabulous. However, Heathyr Wolfe (Surf City Icon Films) stole the show is this amazing number.

Top beauty experts from Wella and Napolen Perdis treated guests to makeovers at the beauty bar. Glamglow demonstrated the benefits of their exfoliating mud mask and reps from LA Fashion Magazine, California Apparel News, and Runway Magazine were also on site. Other sponsors included Bibby Financial and American Gentleman

The swanky soiree concluded with a runway show. Dina Bar-El was very excited about presenting her colorful new collection of sexy, form-fitting gowns. Her timeless pieces dazzled on the catwalk.

Anthony Franco started his presentation with a little film noir and opened with a model wearing a gorgeous coat made from a shimmery fabric that is perfect for the holidays.

The rest of Franco's collection consisted of tailored menswear and edgy high-concept dresses.

All in all, the goal of Fashion’s Night Out is to celebrate fashion and stimulate the local economy.  Mikey Koffman and her crew managed to throw a great party while keeping the focus on Fashion.
