Art Hearts Fashion Week SS18

Art Hearts Fashion Week held its SS18 shows at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The stylish soiree was attended by designers, celebrities, and fashion lovers –most of whom attended the lavish opening party at Pump Lounge in West Hollywood.

Sue Wong SS16 at Art Hearts Fashion

Art Hearts Fashion announced its returned to Taglyan with an impressive line-up of runway shows. Veteran designer Sue Wong had the honor of kicking off the four day event with her SS16 Alchemy and Masquerade collection.

The evening began with the presentation of a plaque and proclamation from the California Assembly congratulating Wong for her beautiful SS16 collection and thanking her for showcasing her stunning creations in Los Angeles.

Metropolitan Fashion Week Closing Gala

Originally based in Seattle, the fine folks at Metropolitan Fashion Week brought their extravagant affair to Pasadena, CA. for the first time. A series of events were scheduled for the week; thus, leading up to the closing gala.

For starters there was the Wine and Canvas event. Dubbed Canvas Project 2013 the occasion brought together artists and designers. The designers—Uriel Saenz, Monica Kitchen, Olga Swed, Deyonte Weather, and Mabel Obeng—each created a dress made out of white canvas and the artists painted something beautiful on it. The artistic collaborations would then be unveiled at the finale runway show.

Driven By Design LA SS14

Driven By Design LA held its first L.A. Fashion Week event at the L.A. Mart Design Center. Produced by FIDM Alumni Lela Christine (Fab Five Lifestyle Magazine) and Lori A Neal (Diamond Interiors of L.A.) the event was pretty well organized for a first time venture on such a large scale.

It was once said that the most memorable movies all have one thing in common: they rely on the magical transformations rendered by costume designers. Recognizing that costume design is a tool to express an art form, Metropolitan Fashion Week hosted a launch party in honor of the first-ever Costume Designers Week slated to take place in October.

Costume Designers Week: Hollywood

Metropolitan Fashion Week has announced the launch of the first ever Costume Designers Week Hollywood, which will celebrate the world of costume designers in motion pictures, television, theater, and opera during a week of dramatic fashion/pageant shows. The launch will begin with a press conference and sneak preview of national and international costume designers’ creations entitled, Metamorphosis. The event will feature the latest works of Sean Puruker, Amanda Holser, Swig Miller, Kicka Custom Design, Rocky Gathercole Atelier, Marzia Paparini, Fabio Giampietro, in addition to a special presentation by Myth Mask.
