(Nettwerk)
It’s been seven years since his last solo release but Peter Murphy bursts out strong with his latest - Ninth. This dynamic effort, produced by David Baron, is a culmination of Murphy’s life experiences – musically, physically, and spiritually. Bauhaus may be dead but, rest assured, Murphy is still going strong. Never one to accept labels it’s obvious the charismatic frontman had fun while recording Ninth. He experiments with various styles in "Velocity Bird" and "Seesaw Sway". "Peace to Earth" rocks hard with a modern heavy crunch, while "Memory Go" is poppy and upbeat. Tracks like "I Spit Roses" (inspired by Bauhaus' dissolution), "The Prince & Old Lady Shade", and "Crème de la Crème" will remind you why Murphy is still revered as an artist. NIN

Ministry News
Al Jourgensen has hooked up with guitarist Mark Thwaite (Mission UK, Peter Murphy, Tricky, Mob Research) in the studio, collaborating on several projects simultaneously. Jourgensen and Thwaite, both long-time friends of Killing Joke/Ministry bassist Paul Raven, who passed away October 20, 2007, joined forces recently at Jourgensen’s 13th Planet compound in Texas. The crowning jewel of the Jourgensen/Thwaite collaboration is the newly penned, as yet untitled, Christmas Song to be released via digital download exclusively this Thanksgiving. 13th Planet will release a digital stream of the track October 20th, 2009 to celebrate the memory of their “favorite pirate” Paul Raven on Ministry’s Myspace www.myspace.com/ministrymusic.
