It’s been seven years since his last solo release but Peter Murphy bursts out strong with his latest - Ninth. This dynamic effort, produced by David Baron, is a culmination of Murphy’s life experiences – musically, physically, and spiritually. Bauhaus may be dead but, rest assured, Murphy is still going strong. Never one to accept labels it’s obvious the charismatic frontman had fun while recording Ninth. He experiments with various styles in "Velocity Bird" and "Seesaw Sway". "Peace to Earth" rocks hard with a modern heavy crunch, while "Memory Go" is poppy and upbeat. Tracks like "I Spit Roses" (inspired by Bauhaus' dissolution), "The Prince & Old Lady Shade", and "Crème de la Crème" will remind you why Murphy is still revered as an artist. NIN
