LAFW SS2013 Wrap Party

The delightful Mikey Koffman and her wonderful crew at The Gallery LA were kind enough to host a wrap party as a “Thank you” to all the sponsors, designers, and fashionable guests who attended LA Fashion Weekend’s SS2013 showcase.

The event was held in the patio area at the Xen Lounge in Studio City. Between the tarp and the killer tunes you wouldn’t have known it was raining outside. The lovely make-up artists from Napoleon Perdis were on site to apply touch-ups for anyone that wanted to enhance their look for the evening. I was happy to see that one of the gals was also a part of the Beats For Boobs make-up team. We discussed how a make-up artist is an artist. Your face is their canvas, and they can transform you into something beautiful or hideous - in the case of special effects make-up, which my sister, Rose Lopez, specializes in.

There were a few new faces in the crowd. Including this creative design duo. Jurate Luckaite and her sister create hand painted silk masterpieces and transform them into wearable art. for their Violet Luck label. Check out their website to see all their stunning creations.

I was very excited to see my new fashionably fierce friends—Alan and Enrique—from Skinny Executives. They were telling me about all the exciting things going on with their company, which is basically a one stop shop. Seriously, Skinny Executives do it all! The rest of the evening was spent mingling and sipping delicious cocktails courtesy of Little Black Dress Vodka. Thank you Mikey for being such a gracious host!
