Laili Lau at Concept Fashion Week FW 2012

On Saturday, March 10th, Laili Lau presented her first runway show at Concept. Dubbed “The Wild Hunt” collection the fashion presentation featured loosely draped dresses, lightweight knits, and harem pants. The designs, some of which were accented with simple touches of sequins and metallic accents, embodied the element of freedom while the earth toned fabrics reflected a calm serenity. The clothes themselves are geared toward the young-spirited unconventional woman who likes to sport a trendy yet relaxed look.

The great thing about this collection is that the looks could be dressed up or dressed down depending on the occasion. And, even though I’m not fan of harem pants a number of girls around me were commenting on how much they wanted a pair. I predict they will be Laili Lau’s best seller.

Laili Lau is an eco-conscious designer and through the creation of her brand she seeks to generate social awareness and promote the respect for nature as it is inspired in the art and culture of forgotten ethnic groups.
