Bringing Punk Back to NYC

Touted as the birthplace of punk rock in the United States, New York City has experienced a musical-cultural shift over the past decade. Sadly, punk’s significance in NYC is fading but newly formed Bright & Barrow Records is looking to revitalize the city’s once thriving punk scene by releasing Cause A Scene, Volume One - a compilation that boasts 22 blaring NYC/NJ-based punk rock bands, which will be available for digital download on August 31st for only $5 via the label's website (BrightAndBarrow.com). The CD features NYC/NJ up-and-comers such as Banquets, The Measure (SA), House Boat, The Reveling, Stewart, and The Tattle Tales. To celebrate the release, Bright & Barrow is hosting an album release party on Friday, September 3rd at Arlene’s Grocery (95 Stanton St, New York, NY), with special guests The Tattle Tales, Banquets, and more TBA. Tickets are $10 and the show will start at 7pm, 21+.
