Lauren Elaine @ The Los Angeles Theatre

Lauren Elaine presented her collection in an intimate setting at the Los Angeles theatre, which featured a mix of day and evening dresses. A number of fabrics were hand-dyed, which gave each piece a unique color pattern. With names like Persephone, Apollo and Aphrodite it was obvious that the collection was inspired by the goddesses of Ancient Greek mythology. A couple of pieces sported a 50's style influence. Delicate and free flowing a number of dresses featured braid & ruffle detailing. The Serena and Aphrodite gowns were adorned with Swarovski crystals and the Nightingale gown was accented with peacock feathers. During the finale Lauren came out wearing one of her creations. She blended in so perfectly with the models that for a second I thought it was a last minute addition. Turns out Lauren was an actress/model before launching her line in 2008.
