Art Institute SS2013 Student Presentation

Art Institute of California-Hollywood hosted its annual fashion show on Saturday October 13^th. The theme for the evening was The Body Politic in which 9 student designers chose various political themes ranging from national, global, or historic, as inspiration for their collections. The event was open he public with proceeds benefitting The Miguel Rocha Jr. Scholarship Fund, which was set up in honor of a former A.I. student who was the casualty of a drunk hit-and-run incident in 2008.

1st Annual Los Feliz Fashion Fest

The Los Feliz Fashion Fest made its debut at the 18th annual Los Feliz Street Fair. The Los Feliz Street Fair has been on a two-year hiatus, so it was a nice treat to have the Fashion Fest as part of the festivities. Kudos to Kelsi Smith (Stylesmith, Two Point Oh! LA, Dedicated Follower of Fashion) for organizing the Fashion Fest event, which I’m certain will become a part of the Los Feliz Street Fair going forward.

Los Feliz Fashion Fest - July 24th

Feeling cheated because Carmageddon kept you locked up this past weekend? Well you can make up for it this Sunday at the Los Feliz Fashion Fest. Held in conjunction with the Los Feliz Street Fair, the Los Feliz Fashion Fest will present exclusive shopping opportunities (with over 35 vendors), designer trunk shows, and runway presentations hosted by Two Point Oh! LA featuring local designers: Fluxus, Dominique Ansari, 50 Dresses, and The Desert Child. Fellow Two Point Oh! LA bloggers Jenny Wu (Good, Bad, and Fab), Melanie Lee (Wrecked Stellar), Erica Leigh (Sweets and Hearts), and Sasha Jones (LA Inspiration) will be on site to style and model various looks.
