Two Point Oh! LA celebrated the end of another successful year with its 2nd annual Snowball. Founder Kelsi Smith was kind enough to hook us up with complimentary makeovers before the event.
We all gathered at Be Your Best You Salon, in Culver City, for complimentary hair styles hosted by DJ Riggs and EDIA Cosmetics for Hair. Essie Nails provided an array of beautiful polishes for our manicures. Organic spray tans were courtesy of Chocolate Sun. Jessica Matlock graced us with her make-up skills and Sole Society provided us with some smoking hot shoes for the party. Champagne cocktails were courtesy of Hpnotiq, and Pose was on site to capture it all. Octavio Molina did a great job with my hair. He frequently styles for high profile celebrities and top models during fashion week, so I felt very privileged to be under his care. He used EDIA’s Still Life Molding Wax, which comes in a sleek little compact so it’s perfect if you’re always on the go. Plus, it left my hair feeling silky smooth.
The Snowball was held at Palihouse in West Hollywood. I arrived in a Versace for H and M dress, Marco Santi heels from Sole Society (the Brandy in Grey Metallic Satin), and faux fur coat from Very.com. Upon entering the hip lounge area I was greeted by my dear friend Lisa Boosin, who informed me that she has a very cool writing gig on the horizon. (Just an F.Y.I. for those of you missing her wit and charm from Racked LA.) We immediately spotted Kelsi, looking ultra chic in a BCBG MaxAzria gown. In fact a number of the girls were wearing looks from the collection.
In the gifting suite we filled up our re-usable totes with goodies from Sarah Potempa, Essie Nails, EDIA, Sole Society, Hautelook, Chocolate Sun, Sheer Cover, and Suave Beauty. Crossroads Trading handed out vintage inspired jewelry, and Soho Beauty Cases graciously gave us a beauty case of our choice, which they kindly offered to ship so we didn’t have to carry it around all night. My choice was “Sealed With a Kiss.”
Of course everyone went crazy for Lulu’s prize wheel where discount cards, gift cards, clothing, and accessories were up for grabs.
In the lounge we enjoyed wine courtesy of Clos du Bois and snacked on delicious mini cheesecakes from Pacific Cheese Cake Company. In addition to a wide variety of flavored cheese cakes they also offer no sugar added and savory cheesecakes. Stylesmith also provided a signature candy bar with “to go” bags so we could take our sugar high home with us.
As expected, Palihouse was packed with some of L.A.’s finest, fashionable folks; including designers Lisa Michelle Felsenthal andMelissa Velia, stylist Jackie Chambers and Salvador Camarena, boutique owner Nina (of PUGA) and fellow bloggers Wendy Bendoni & Tiara Henry. I think it’s safe to say, a fun time was had by all. Thank you Kelsi, Scott (aka Mr. Style), and all those who helped make Two Point Oh! LA’s 2nd Annual Snowball a success.
