First of all BiteMe! M+F would like to thank everyone that put us on the list and invited us to the shows. This wouldn't be possible without you.
Day 1: The week's events kicked off at Revolve's Flagship Boutique located at 8452 Melrose Ave. Revolve and Lovemade hooked up to present an "LA Fashion Week Launch Party". Guests were invited to mingle with various LA designers including the creators behind Anzevino and Florence, Corpus, Endovanera, Geren Ford, and Prodigal Daughter. The best part of the evening, besides the great DJ (DJ Cat NYC) was the people watching. The fashionistas (guys and gals alike) were all decked out in their finest. The great thing about fashion is that it is an expression of your own personal style and everyone in attendance was working it.
Day 2: In-between shows we mingled with guests. We were thrilled to run into Jacquetta and Krys of Krys n Jack. Krys was wearing one of their pieces from last night's runway show and also sported a pair of heels, which are new to their collection. True to form the shoes were accented with rivets and keys. Also in attendance were Megan and Katelyn from KM2shoes. The sisters looked as cute as ever, and of course they were wearing their fabulous heels. We were also fortunate enough to meet Em and Co owner Eveline Moel and we told her how much we loved her store and the support she offers to emerging artists in the fashion, music, and art community. Eveline then introduced us to Kimberly Cole, who happens to have close to 1 million fans on twitter. She also has an EP out titled "Superstar" (www.myspace.com/kimberlycole). Brad Beckerman founder of Bradford Tonic was generous enough to provide the mixers for the drinks. Brad has an amazing story, and his holistic drinks are not only good for you but they taste good too. http://www.bradfordtonic.com/. Before the next show started I spotted a girl in the crowd with an amazing necklace that seemed to glow. As suspected, it was her creation. http://www.lumigotech.com/ (The site is currently under construction so keep checking back.)
I also noticed a few people decked out in a men's dress shirt. One girl paired it with a pair of black tights and booties and the other belted it around the waist and wore it as a dress. Being that the shirt just barely covered her bum she should have considered wearing some funky tights underneath.
