My Chemical Romance - Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys

(Reprise)

The most anticipated rock album of the year is not a title easily won, but it appears that My Chemical Romance has won that title – their only job now is to live up to it. We all knew My Chemical Romance as the emo band that released ‘Welcome to the Black Parade’ and wore tons of makeup, but forget that image. My Chemical Romance’s album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, is set to be released on November 22nd and has got every fan and music critic waiting impatiently for its release.

There are a few reasons why My Chemical Romance’s latest release is the most anticipated rock album of the year. First of all, it is totally different from what we have known about the band in the past. As I said, My Chemical Romance was the most popular emo band (when they were an emo band). But, from what we have seen of the new record—the three singles they have released—they are taking a much more power-punk direction. This is clearly exhibited by lead singer Gerard Way’s bright red hair, which is very reminiscent of Green Day or Blink-182.
