On Thursday November 3rd I attended the grand opening of Gather Boutique in Los Feliz. Founded by designer Katie Kay, Gather features locally designed jewelry, accessories, and apparel. The shop carries an eclectic array of merchandise ranging from beaver-tooth necklaces to sliver rings cast from iguana skulls to fancy turbans to 70’s inspired handbags. In terms of apparel there’s a wide selection spanning from jersey knit maxi dresses to lace-flared pants to apocalyptic leatherwear to funky fringed tees. Featured brands include ISM Mode, Venius Turbans, Ai forAi, Painted Coyote, and S.O.B (to name a few).
