Style Fashion Week decided to change things up a bit by hosting fashion shows during the day in addition to their night time presentations.
The evening cocktail reception was sponsored by Status Vodka. LVX Nails treated guests to complimentary manicures and hairstyling was courtesy of Warren TriComi and Vocé. Lovvvit provided a photo booth so they could show off their new looks.
Designer Sara Horne had her jewelry on display. The uniqueness of her pieces caught my eye. Her jewelry represents a mixture of art, fashion, and culture. The line exhibits an earthy, bohemian vibe with a bit of an edge. Sara uses gemstones, soft leathers, and 14 - 24kt gold in her hand crafted creations.
DJ Boom Box Bri was spinning killer tunes in the courtyard. The only thing missing was a dance floor. I recommend hiring her for your next event.
During the reception I had the pleasure of running into one of my favorite designers – Michael Kuluva of Tumbler and Tipsy. I absolutely adore him, his designs, and his personal style. Michael informed me that he had a successful debut at NY Fashion Week this past September. Kendall Jenner walked in his show and a number of celebrities were in the audience. Even though Michael has moved on to NYFW he is still very supportive of the LAFW scene. I’m going to miss his fun runway shows.
I loved the necklace that this fashionista was wearing. I asked her where she got it and she said it was Anna Dello Russo for H and M. I was really impressed with how expensive it looked.
The first show of the evening was by Local Socialite. The line was curated by socialites for socialites who love to shop and love a great deal (most pieces are under $50). The collection features exclusive clothing, jewelry, and accessories designed specifically for HaulerDeals and is geared towards the young hip girl with a bit of an edge.
The collection featured a number of head to toe looks that could easily make the transition from the runway directly into any "Local Socialite’s" wardrobe.
Instead of models Local Socialite had some of the fashion industries most influential vloggers walking the show: YouTube beauty & fashion gurus Samantha Chuawongse (“SAAAMMAGE”), Nikki Phillippi (“NIKKIPHILLIPPI”), Sonia Castaneda (“SCCASTANEDA”), Rachel Talbott (“CHECKINTHEMIRROR”), Suzy Agdeppa (“MACNC40”), Heart Defensor (“THATSHEART”) and Allie Evans (“GLASSSLIPPERBEAUTY”), along with reigning Miss California USA, Natalie Pack and Miss California Teen USA , Alexa Jones.
I was fortunate enough to catch Trey Alligood’s debut FW2012 show in March. Now he’s back with more hot looks from his Madisonpark Collective line, which embodies a rugged yet refined look. When designing his creations Trey draws inspiration from classic American vintage and adds a modern day twist. His collection is made in the USA from recycled and reclaimed materials utilizing an eco-friendly process. The line has a distinctive look and feel to it. It also appeals to a wide variety of individual styles.
The runway show started off with some of the more rugged pieces.
In the middle of the presentation select models came out and performed a high energy dance routine to Michael Jackson’s “Bad.” Needless to say, the crowd LOVED IT!
Following the performance a number of pieces geared towards spring graced the runway. Denim in pastel colors, trouser pants, board shorts, and basic tees.
The crowd also went wild when the shirtless models came down the runway. HOT!!!
