TwoPointOh!LA Pre Fashion Week Party SS2012

TwoPointOhLA! held its Pre LA Fashion Week Party at The CementStudio. One thing I have learned is to not miss a TwoPointOhLA! event because if you do chances are you will miss out on scoring some cool stuff, like these super sexy heels from SoleSociety. There were a number of pairs up for grabs because we all have different tastes and styles, but the "Carrie" was reason enough to make me want to sign up and become a member.

If you’re not familiar with SoleSociety it’s a members’ only site where you can purchase designer quality on-trend shoes for just $49.95 a pair. When you sign up you take a style quiz and then once a month you receive an e-mail informing you that your selections are available to view in your style closet. You can choose to skip that month or opt to have new choices selected for you.
We also received a $10 gift certificate to HauteLook (SoleSociety’s parent company). HauteLook is a flash sale site that offers discounts on authentic designer items and luxury goods. I’m a frequent customer so that gift certificate will be put to good use.

iMoshion was also on site to show us the latest additions to their chic line of handbags. I remember seeing them at the Born Free fffashionL.A. show. The brand’s moniker stands for: an essential state of style expressed through an individual passion for life, love, and joy. Thus, lots of attention is paid to detail and a majority of the purses featured details such as beaded metal straps and sparkly crystals. iMoshion bags are also made using cruelty free materials. One of my favorites was the “Julia” in purple.

TwoPointOhLA! founder Kelsi Smith is always looking for a way to help her TPOLA bloggers gain more exposure, so it made sense that reps from Style Daily Buzz were there to talk about their services. Style Daily Buzz is a blogger’s best friend. Their goal is to help maximize your blog’s exposure and provide an opportunity to increase revenue. The site features accessible content from a wide variety of relevant blogs and posts a list of daily “Top Nine’s” in the fields of fashion, beauty, home, design, DIY, and more.

Recently, a survey was conducted to find out what treat should replace the cupcake as the go to party favorite. My vote is for NibNobs. I love cake, and I love cupcakes but, to be honest, the cake part is usually dry. Not the case with NibNobs. They look like a truffle but instead of a ganache based filling there is a super moist cake hidden inside the flavored confection coating. NibNobs are quite possibly the most delicious thing I have ever tasted. They come in a variety of flavors including Strawberry, Carrot Cake, Triple Chocolate, and Red Velvet. It really is the perfect bite sized treat, and it’s hard to stop at just one.

Of course my fellow, fashionable TPOLA bloggers were dressed in their finest. It was nice to get acquainted with some new folks while sipping wine and enjoying the cool music mix provided by DJ JayDub. I have to hand it to Kelsi. That gal really knows how to organize a great party. I’m looking forward to the next one.
