White Trash Beautiful

Sunday Night was the final night for L.A. Fashion Weekend. After being at Sunset Gower Studios for three days I was sad to see it come to a close. The Gallery L.A. staff, security guards, and front gate security all knew us by now. They were all very sweet and did a great job. I look forward to seeing them next season. I also want to mention that the make-up for all the shows was provided by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. Their products are 100% Vegan and PETA approved. We received a sample of their Lip Tar, which is a hybrid of lipstick and lip gloss. It goes on smooth and is long lasting.

White Trash Beautiful was the second biggest show of the weekend. Everyone wanted to attend and the celebrities were out in full force. J was fortunate enough to have Heather Locklear standing in line next to her in the bathroom. They had an informal conversation and the verdict was “Heather is cool and down-to-earth.”

White Trash Beautiful is the brainchild of Nikki Lund and Richie Sambora. The line is flirtatious and tempestuous. The Spring/Summer 2011 collection featured chiffons, lace, leather, feathers, and jewel- toned accents. 14 year old Ava Sambora modeled a few pieces while mom, Heather Locklear, cheered her on. Models sporting multi-braided side-ponytails rocked the runway in colorful boho maxi dresses, leather & suede skirts, and sari-style tunics that were perfect for layering. Shoes were courtesy of Report Signature, and I recognized a few that were on display at the Two Point Oh pre-fashion week event. The sexy shoes were the perfect complement to this rocker chic collection. When the show was over Nikki and Richie came out to take a bow. Nikki was wearing a beautiful leather, peacock ensemble, and I couldn’t help but notice that she looked a bit like Heather.
