I love vintage Hollywood glamour and cultural influences. I try to capture that giddy feeling a little girl has when she plays dress up with every outfit I create.
What has being a designer taught you?
Being a designer has taught me how to apply creativity in everything I do in life in general. Fashion has also given me another avenue to help people. One of my main goals is to change the world through fashion – one garment at a time by working with various charities and donating a portion of my sales each season. Being a designer has really strengthened my voice in matters.
What was the inspiration for this collection?
This collection was inspired by the Bond Girls. :)
Can you tell me a bit about the fabrics you used?
I used a lot of sparkle and sequins.
Who are your style icons?
Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Hussein Chalayan, and Roberto Cavalli.
How do you feel art, fashion, and music influence each other?
I think that art, fashion, and music draw from each other in many ways. Designers sometimes try to capture works of art in their designs. Artists sometimes try to depict music through their art. Music creates creative themes.
Where can people purchase your clothing?
On my website, http://www.rumplemunkeh.com/. Also at Taylrz Joynt boutique in Sherman Oaks. I hope to expand this year....hint hint ;)
