Jewels, Gowns, and Art.

Em & Co kicked off awards season with a delightful event featuring an array of beautiful dresses by Angela Dean. The stylists to the stars were out in full force to check out Dean's designs in order to present their client's with that stunning piece in which to grace the red carpet with. If you're not familiar with Dean, she was the creative influence behind Madonna's notorious bullet bra made famous during her Blonde Ambition tour in 1990. A native of Long Beach, California, Dean has been creating her couture gowns under the Deanzign moniker for over two decades. Her one-of-a-kind creations have adorned the likes of Halle Berry, Queen Latifah, Paris Hilton, and Katy Perry to name a few. (
Of course, the perfect red carpet ensemble would not be complete without some gorgeous jewels. The stylists in attendance had their first pick at some of Ricki Millers' fabulous creations, courtesy of House of Love and luck. We had the pleasure of speaking with Ricki who, aside from being very sweet, is quite knowledgeable when it comes to jewelry. She can spot a vintage piece a mile away, which is why her clients know that when it comes to quality and uniqueness they can count on her to deliver. (

If for some bizarre reason fashion is not your thing but art is (or you're well rounded and into both) then be sure to stop by Em and Co to check out the latest work from Joby Cummings titled "Spinobyte". Joby is a legend in the tattoo industry – having inked a number of NBA stars and celebrities. His art has been featured in magazines, such as Skin Art, International Tattoo, and Inked and his designs have also been featured in clothing lines, such as Christian Audigier, BCBG, and Vertigo. The exhibit runs from January 21 – February 9. Joby's work can also be viewed at  Em & Co is located at: 7940 W. 3rd St. L.A. CA. 90048
