Military Style Invades Fashion Book Launch

Decade’s Cameron Silver, John Taylor (Duran Duran), and Stephen Kenn hosted a book signing party for Timothy Godbold at CNTRL studio in Downtown, LA to celebrate the release of Military Style Invades Fashion.

Written by Australian born Timothy Godbold, who is an international fashion-world and interior-design insider with a lifelong interest in military style, the book delves into the history of the transformation of military clothing into popular retail fashion.

A number of fashionable individuals attend the event which featured bites from Eveleigh.

Cocktails courtesy of Espolòn Tequila and Skyy Vodka.

DJ Mother Teresa spun some killer tunes.

And Saul Lira (Under The Gun) inked guest with complementary nautical themed tattoos.

There was also a fabulous exhibition of military inspired fashion curated by Decades. (All of which can be purchased via their website or retail location on Melrose.)

And gift bags containing Jason Markk professional shoe cleaning kit, handmade soap from Manready Mercantile and a pocket journal from 1stdibs.com.

Overall it was a fun event. If you’re looking for ways to incorporate military looks into your wardrobe this book is a great reference point.
