Two Point Oh! LA celebrated its fourth birthday and the 7th season of its Pre Fashion Week Party with a preview of the collections that will be presented at the Los Angeles Fashion Council’s F/W 2013 designer Showcase.
The event, which was organized by Two Point Oh! LA founder Kelsi Smith and her staff (Marlita, Gina, and Gabby), was sponsored by Los Angeles Magazine, Factory L.A., and Peroni.
I’ve been fortunate enough to watch the evolution of ISM Mode over the years, so it was nice to have the opportunity to catch up with designer Inca Sherman. Inca’s latest collection presented a juxtaposition of patterns, textures, and styles. Comprised of soft fabrics, ISM Mode’s sustainable clothing blends comfort with style.
SOLDAT’s presentation paired Camilla Wright’s tailored looks with Hovey Lee’s eco-friendly jewelry and NOMISA’s accessory pouches, which incorporates scrap fabric pieces from SOLDAT’s work room.
In addition to having the opportunity to chat with the designers it was also nice to meet new Two Point Oh! LA Members and catch up with existing members like Anne M Bray, who enjoys capturing events through sketches as opposed to photographs. You can check out some of her work here: www.spygirl-amb.blogspot.com
Over in the next room famed LA Artist Manny Castro presented his “Food Fight” installation. Manny and some of the fashionistas had fun posing with the pieces on display.
