Future Standard: An Eco-Friendly Online Boutique

I have to say that I really admire Jessica Althoff. When she graduated with her MBA she realized that the reason she got it was so she could do anything she wanted so she decided to start Future:Standard.
Future:Standard is an online boutique that sells an array of eco-friendly clothing and accessories that are made with sustainability in mind. All merchandise is handpicked by Jessica, who places an emphasis on style and ethics. She looks for items that are pretty and relevant and also spends a great amount of time researching brands to make sure they meet Future:Standard’s criteria, which is the item must be eco-friendly, meet fair trade standards, be locally made, and produced with respect to the planet and those who are making it.  The online shop offers a variety of on-trend items such as the “Alex” draped back tunic from Toggery by Kate D’Arcy, which is featured on the site’s $50 or less section. The ultra-soft tunic is made from certified organic cotton and low impact eco-friendly dyes. This versatile piece can be worn as a shirt or a dress.

The boutique also features a number of great finds for under $25 in addition to great gift ideas like this cool zodiac necklaces from Ija Designs.
Jessica hopes to evolve the site into an online community and encourages her customers to send her pictures via e-mail (Jessica@shopfuturestandard.com) of them wearing apparel and accessories purchased from Future:Standard  so she can post them in the “How You Wore It” section. She’s also open to suggestions on new eco-friendly designers to add to her inventory.
