On Sunday, October 23rd, the Rodeo Drive Committee and the City of Beverly Hills honored international supermodel Iman and acclaimed Italian fashion house Missoni with the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Award. Stylist Rachael Zoe presented Iman with her award (Iman happened to be wearing a beige dress, which was designed by Zoe), and famed record producer Quincy Jones had the honor of presenting the Missoni family with their award. Both recipients received a plaque on Rodeo Drive that featured their signature and a special quote. Iman’s was: “Fashion and Cinema are global trends…from Hong Kong to Hollywood,” while Missoni’s appropriately said, “Life is more with colors.” Both plaques will be embedded permanently in the famed Rodeo Drive sidewalk along with those from past award recipients.
The evening also featured a special silent auction benefiting Save The Children. A number of individuals from the fashion, art, and entertainment community—including Sofia Vergara, Alessandra Ambrosio, Gabrielle Union, Peggy Moffit, and Nicky Hilton—attended the event, which included a chic cocktail party held on the 400 block of Rodeo Drive. Guests enjoyed music courtesy of DJ Samantha Ronson, sipped on cocktails, and feasted on an Italian buffet.
Inaugurated in 2003, The Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Award honors style legends for their contributions to the worlds of fashion and entertainment. For more info visit:
