14th Annual Friends ‘N’ Family Grammy Party

The 14th annual Friends ‘N’ Family Grammy Party took place at Paramount Studios on February 11th. The informal gathering, which was held on two soundstages, benefitted Rock the Vote. Celebs like Lil’ Wayne, Tila Tequila, Scott Weiland, and Tony Canal made appearances. The two rooms featured performances by upcoming recording artists Tinie Tempah, Yelawolf, Oh Land, Kid Sister, and Priscilla Renea. Guests were also treated to sounds provided by a number of DJs including Jermaine Dupri, Mix Master Mike, DJ Muggs, Dirty Vegas, DJ Cam, DJ Skeet Skeet, and my girl Taryn Manning.

EA Sports sponsored a British pub inspired game lounge and drinks were courtesy of UV Vodka, Asahi Beer, Revel Stoke Spiced whisky, Redbull, TY KU Premium Asian Wine and Spirits, Waialua Soda, and Café Bustelo Coffee. Guests also snacked on Fatburger burgers, Toot Sweet Cupcakes, and freshly popped popcorn.

This was the place to be on the Friday night before Grammy night. The venue was packed with fans, artists, and music industry VIPs. Rumor has it the block party-style celebration was their biggest yet. I believe it because by 12:30 a.m. the line to get in was wrapped around the block. The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus was also on site. Its mission is to give kids a chance to express themselves through music and video productions. The bus has three live-in on-board engineers that teach students how to write, perform, record, and produce songs in workshops and also teaches them how to shoot music videos and documentaries. Check out pictures from the party in the slideshow below.
