Fashion Los Angeles Groundbreaking: September 15, 2010

There are some exciting changes set to take place in Los Angeles in regards to Fashion Week. On September 15th, Fashion Los Angeles will be breaking new ground on Lot 17, which will serve as the base of L.A.’s reinvigorated fashion week and will launch the week of February 1-7, 2011. Lot 17 is located on the Grand Avenue cultural corridor. The top deck of this parking structure has a spectacular view of the City’s civic landmarks and will contain a village of modern prefab pavilions and theaters that will welcome designers, buyers, media, fashion professionals, trendsetters, and VIPs.
The groundbreaking ceremony will begin and 5 p.m. The event will bring together invited VIPs representing fashion, economic development, entertainment, and media interests in order to develop mutually-beneficial connections and move business forward. Event sponsors include: Auntie Fruf's Aahsome Fudge, Bonny Doon Vineyard, Dry Soda, LifeSource Water, and Paper Chase Press.

Fashion Los Angeles is a private L.A.-based company founded by veteran event producer Michael Venedicto and interactive designer Jeff Warrington. The duo are backed by a team of seasoned professionals, which includes Bloggers’ Café, in partnership with Two Point Oh LA: a growing union of nearly 60 fashion/style bloggers.

FLA’s objective is to function as a year-round multimedia production studio in order to facilitate the creation of media assets–particularly digital–that brands can use to promote their collections both collectively and independently. The company will serve as an integrated marketing platform for designers and will look to collaborate with designers on an individual basis in order to present each collection in its ideal format.

For sponsors, Fashion Los Angeles will provide a highly-interactive showcase for their new and innovative lifestyle-driven products and services and will create opportunities to connect with fashion industry tastemakers. For more info visit: www.fashionlosangeles.org
