La Maison De Fashion – Split: Sample Sale/Adolfo Sanchez FW 2011 Preview

La Maison De Fashion is an adorable little boutique located in a quaint courtyard just off Melrose. This hip style house features a number of cutting edge designers and often holds special events to showcase their various brands.

I had met Maile Takahashi at Lauren Elaine’s F/W 2011 show this past March, but I had known about her boutique for quite some time now through its reputation for supporting some of L.A.’s top designers. (Alana Hale, Lauren Elaine, Daisy Gonzalez, and Adolfo Sanchez are just some of the featured brands.) Truth be told, La Maison De Fashion is a fashionista’s dream. The store is filled with fabulous gowns, great stage costumes, blinged out stilettos, and a wide variety of jewelry that ranges from glamorous, to funky, to outrageous. If you’re an entertainer you’ll find lots of great garments and accessories to wear on stage. And, if you’re a stylist, this store is your own personal Disneyland. In fact, I spotted this adorable stylist, Nadya Bay, in the boutique wearing an outfit that she could have easily put together with items from the shop.

The evening’s event celebrated the launch of Adolfo Sanchez’ Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection. Adolfo cut his teeth at Versace, Carolina Herrera, and Gucci before launching his own line. His collections are often inspired by different experiences and inspirations that he has encountered in his life. The designer’s pieces are often edgy and dark and can range from playful everyday wear to dramatic evening gowns with plunging necklines to avant-garde cocktail dresses.

Maile and Co. threw a grand party with drinks, appetizers, and tunes courtesy of DJ Cassie Stevens, who happens to spin at some of the hottest venues in town. Complimentary drinks made from Mascarade Liqueur—which is a blend of French Armagnac, natural peach and apricot juices, and premium vodka—were being served. It’s delicious with champagne. The courtyard was packed with fashion loving folks eager to a get a sneak peak at Adolfo’s new line and score some amazing deals on last season’s selections. La Maison De Fashion is located at 7471 Melrose Ave. #25B, L.A. CA. 90036 323-658-8008
