Alas! We’ve reached the end of the fashion shows. I drank champagne, broke in new ankle boots, and became overly confident with taking “selfie” shots in public places. It was by far an experience that every boy and girl who changes a minimum of three times before going out should partake in.

Mel’s Fashion Week San Diego Outfit: Day 3
Second day of runway shows are done and again it was nothing but amazing clothes. I was super excited to see the Love, Charles bathing suit line and am happy to gush over their all black teeny bikinis! I know where I’ll be purchasing my next pair of cheeky bottoms for next summer.(See intro photo.)
I was also very fortunate to spend some time with the designers for Dos Caras who specialize in bathing suits as well. Their line was filled with high waisted, vibrant colored pieces for every body type. I can’t wait to share more of their inspiration, Spring 2014 line, and their plans for Fall 2014.

Mel’s Fashion Week San Diego Outfit: Day 2
FINALLY! A RUNWAY SHOW! It was fabulous, chic, and full of beautiful people. There was tons of eye candy on the runway and off of it. Gorgeous shoes, dresses, HATS, everything!
My great friend Lily and I were lucky enough to purchase tickets in advance and scored some perfectly placed second row seats and were able to take in all of the upcoming fashions for spring 2013. It was extremely difficult to narrow down my favorite designers for the night, but I have to give a huge shout out and major kudos to Andre Soriano and his menswear collaborator Cecilia Aragon for wrapping up the show with a jaw dropping pleather line. I can’t wait to get my hands on a piece during Sunday’s trunk show.

Mel’s Fashion Week San Diego Outfit: Day 1
I have a love-hate relationship with experiencing things for the first time. I get the anxious feeling to just get there and do whatever it is I’m setting myself up to do and have a great freaking time with whoever it is I’m with. But, then I also get the dreaded, “Where do I go, what do I wear, what should I do, where the hell is the bar”…line of questions running through my head. Fashion Week San Diego was one of those experiences for me. So, let me tell you how I overcame and conquered my love-hate relationship - a damn sexy pair of Steve Madden sandals.
