Jackalope Art And Craft Fair

This past weekend the Jackalope Art Fair took place in Central Park, Old Pasadena. The free two day shopping event featured over 200 local artisans, crafters, and DIY enthusiasts as well as workshops and food trucks.

There were lots of unique, interesting finds but, most of all, I was happy to support my dear friend Jennifer Jesse and her company Mod’s Best Friend/Five Travelling Monkeys.

Jen makes handmade throw pillows representing states and countries and she also accepts custom orders as well.

I scored this fabulous sugar skull inspired California pillow.

Jen’s booth partner was Wendy Thoreson. Wendy creates functional slip decorated pottery inspired by her love of antiques under the Functional Heirlooms Pottery moniker.

The rings at Goat and Kettle’s booth caught my attention. These cool pieces were crafted from antique keys ranging from the mid-1800’s to the 1970’s.

I really loved the backplate cuffs!

Another exciting discovery was Eco Pet Handbags. Handmade in Los Angeles, this unique line of handbags are made from recycled pet food bags, designer and vintage fabrics, and reclaimed materials. A portion of every sale goes to animal shelters and rescue organizations.

Click here for more information on the participating vendors at the Pasadena art fair and be sure to visit Jackalope’s site for info on upcoming shows in Denver and Phoenix.
