Factory LA’s Designer Collective Showcase

Factory LA founder and CEO Leah Garvin hosted a designer collective showcase at her newly opened boutique located in the heart of Downtown L.A.'s Fashion District.

What’s unique about Factory LA is that it carries ethically crafted contemporary apparel and accessories made by L.A. based start-up, emerging, and established designers. The shop also functions as a retail store, brand incubator, and a showroom. Another unique feature is that the brands carried are on a consignment basis, which helps promote a community like atmosphere amongst the designers. Leah prides herself in knowing each designer personally and will happily tell you the history and story behind each line she carries. And, if you’re lucky her sidekick Blu will escort you during your shopping experience.

What you won’t find at Factory LA is boring cookie-cutter pieces. Instead, you’ll be greeted by a vast array of unique, quality made clothing and accessories that complement each other on a variety of levels. Amongst the racks you’ll find edgy-meets-sporty pieces by In My Air, boho chic accessories from Jakimac, premium denim from 020608 Tears of Bleu, and so much more.

The Super Hero vintage-inspired looks by designer Trisha Jane were cute and fun.

On this special night guests were treated to live music, organic cotton candy from Bon Puf (which consisted of gourmet flavors like mango chili and caramel apple) and complimentary drinks. One of the drink choices was wine from Stack Wines, which came in individual serving containers made from vinoware – a high-quality plastic that is shatterproof and lightweight and also protects the wine from oxidation and spoilage. They’re great for parties or a special outing. Artists from The Powder Room LA were also on site offering hair and make-up touch-ups to get attendees camera ready for the Photobooth provided by Jana Cruder Photography

Factory LA is open Tuesday – Saturday Noon – 5:30 p.m. and is located at 840 S Los Angeles St. 90014.
