Chic LA Valentine’s Pop-Up

Chic LA hosted its most recent pop-up on Valentine’s Day. The event was held in a beautiful courtyard nestled between The Spice Station and Create Your Health tea shop located in Silver Lake. Inside the Spice Station you’ll find a variety of specialty spices, salts, and rubs in addition to other goodies that you won’t find anywhere else - like vanilla bean paste. The tea shop is a haven for tea lovers as it carries an assortment of rare teas, and they will even brew you a cup.

Inside the courtyard guests enjoyed live music, champagne, and sweet treats while they shopped. It was a serene setting and a great location for a pop-up. Designer Cindy Gellersen, founder of Chic LA, had select pieces from her three lines on display. There were gorgeous handbags from Bagstil, hip saddlebags, leather cuffs and unique accessories from B.I.T.S., and stylish apparel from CO-ZY. One of the latest additions to her B.I.T.S. jewelry line was a leather knuckle ring. I loved it so much I had to buy it. It’s far more comfortable than your standard metal version. I also liked the cuff with the bullet embellishments.

Paula Eliott also had her jewelry on display. Her one-of-a-kind pieces are based upon an antique center piece—such as a Victorian pocket knife, locket, or an antique watch—and are reincarnated with the addition of semi-precious stones, 14kt gold, or sterling silver. She also transforms Victorian shoe clips into cuff bracelets. There were lots of great treasures incorporated into her beautiful creations.

All in all, it was a lovely event. People brought their loved ones, children, and their pets.  We’ll be sure to let you know when the next Chic LA Pop-up is.
