Beats For Boobs Charity Event

What is Beats For Boobs, you ask? It’s an annual event that brings together a diverse group of artists and activists in order to honor and remember those who have been impacted by breast cancer. As you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and it also happens to be Fashion Week in Los Angeles, so it’s only fitting that the annual fundraiser will take place in L.A. on October 10th at the historical Avalon in Hollywood. The event promises to be a night to remember – presenting the best of what L.A. has to offer in art, fashion, food, and music.
The soiree will include a fashion show featuring the latest collections by Modern Archives, Kucoon, ICTZNCoral Castillo, and Reynaldo Aquino.

Featured artists include Sasha vom Dorp, Kym CBS, AbeAlvarez Tostado, Janet E Dandridge, Cerreah Laykin, and tattoo artist Chamane.
There will be multiple vendors on site including NaughteeBits (hair accessories) and Anger CBS t-shirts. There will also be raffle prizes and tastings from Drunken Udder (alcohol infused ice cream – yummm!) and Juice on the Loose. DJ’s Marques Wyatt, Mr. C, and Jeniluv will be spinning cool tunes all night long.

Tickets are $30 in advance for general admission ($40 at the door) and $100 for VIP ($150 at the door). Proceeds from ticket entrance, donations, raffle tickets, merchandise sales, and sponsorships will benefit the Busted Foundation, which aids women who are suffering financial hardships due to medical expenses from breast cancer treatment. The Boarding For Breast Cancer Survivor Scholarship Fund – a youth focused non-profit foundation that advocates early detection and a healthy, active lifestyle as the beast means of cancer prevention through education, awareness, and support programs that serve young people and the action sports community at large. And, The LA Gay and Lesbian Center Breast Cancer Support Group, which offers a support group specifically for lesbian, bisexual, and transgender women who are facing issues related to breast cancer.
