Pretty City – Green & Gorgeous Event

The folks at Pretty City are inviting you to go green and save green ($$$) by hosting an eco-friendly event where you can enjoy delicious organic food and beverages from Izze and Eco Le Cusine, plus complimentary pampering services from local eco-chic spas and salons. Guests will have the opportunity to visit green beauty and wellness pavilions hosted by: Phytomer, Naked Grape Wine, Elevation Fitness, Astara Skincare, Aveda Institute, Twist Essence Water, MyChelle Dermaceuticals, Orange Berlin, One Love Organics, Dr. Jane San Juan , American Laser SkinCare, Jane Iredale Mineral Makeup, and Kevin Moshier. $15 grants you access to all of the above in addition to an eco-friendly tote, courtesy of Intercon Recycling, filled with $235 worth of products from Weleda, Chi, Belegenza, Wishbody, Wei East, Nature’s Path, One Love Organics, Suki and Beauty Without Cruelty.  The event takes place June 7^th from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Environment Furniture, located at: 8126 Beverly Blvd. Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.prettycity.com/green and will not be available at the door.

A Current Affair: Pop-Up Vintage Marketplace

The last time A Current Affair’s vintage pop-up shop was in town my schedule was too full to attend. I was happy that I was free to make it to the third annual event held at the Cooper Design space. The current installment featured 25 vintage retailers and private dealers from L.A. and the surrounding areas. On hand was a vast assortment of jewelry, accessories, and, of course, clothing from vendors such as Alkemie Jewelry, Debutante Clothing, GlamAmor, Mercy Vintage, Reclaimed in LA, and Siren Vintage, to name a few. If you had something specific in mind I am sure you would have found it there. In fact, I came across two gorgeous capes from the 1920’s that were simply stunning.

A Current Affair – Pop Up Vintage Marketplace

If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend be sure to stop by the penthouse in the Cooper Design Space to browse through the wares of over 25 vintage retailers and private dealers participating in A Current Affair's pop up vintage marketplace . There will also be an exhibition of 10 vintage looks curated by Emmy Award winning costume designer and author of “Color Your Style,” David Zyla. Attendees on Saturday can enjoy complimentary drinks while shopping, courtesy of Pama Pomegranate Liqueur, Izze Sparkling Juice, and Smartwater.  Tunes will be provided by DJ William Lemon III.
